	Route maps are a popular use of our custom cartography.  For instance, this graphic was created for a local seaplane company, emphasizing their routes and stops.  The map also contains advertising provided by third parties.

	Custom graphics, such as shown in this map used in commercial real estate, create a focus on the property of interest, rather than the surrounding physical entities. download PDF Sample
	A local tour company requested a "simple" tour map that they could hand out to customers.  Often times a "simple" map can be more complicated since the intent is to streamline communication.  The challenge of preparing such a map is compounded by the fact that many users of this graphic understand limited english. View of North Pole from Santa Map All the above maps are the creation of Maria Brown, Head Cartographer	The Kroll Santa Route Map by Maria Brown  With inspiration drawn from the NORAD web site on Christmas Eve (the "official US Government site that tracks Santa's every move), this amazing piece of custom cartography captures the lighthearted spirit of the holidays.  This map graphic, originally designed to raise funds for various non-profits in the Seattle area, is a great example of great cartographic design.  This map is available to the general public, for purchase at either Metsker Maps of Seattle or Kroll.
